Looking to add some family friendly community events to your summer calendar? The Crosswicks Community Association is filling their calendar with their annual events that are a must to attend.
The Annual Croquet Classic is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 8th beginning at 11:00am. Preregistration to play is encouraged. This event is for those who know how to play and those who want to learn. It is also a fun event for spectating. In addition to the croquet tournament, there is music from local bands, food trucks, the famous Troop 55 Funnel cakes, and a children’s tournament.
For rising kindergartners, the Kindergarten Play Date is scheduled for Thursday, August 24th at 1:30pm to be held outdoors at the CCA playground.
Also in August, the Community House will host their Annual Movie Night with a tentative date of Friday, August 25th at 7:45pm. A family friendly movie will be chosen. Families are encouraged to bring seating or blankets, snacks and enjoy a sit in movie on the green of the Crosswicks Community House. The following day, Saturday, August 26th brings the Annual Splash Day from 2:00pm-4:15pm. The Chesterfield Fire Company will provide their pumper for kids of all ages to run through their mega sprinkler on the green of the Crosswicks Community House. Families are encouraged to bring seating or blankets and towels.
If you’re already looking to schedule some activities in the Fall, the Crosswicks Community Association is holding a blood drive tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 29th. And the Halloween parade and party is to be held on Sunday, October 29th. The parade line up is at the corner of Front and Buttonwood with the parade beginning at 4:00pm. The parade route is down Front Street towards Chesterfield Crosswicks Rd, Make a left onto Chesterfield Crosswicks Rd and then a left onto Main Street. The parade will continue up Main Street and conclude on the basketball courts of the Crosswicks Community House where the Halloween party will begin. There will be treats, games and costume prizes provided.
